Termini Station is located on the Esquilino hill, a few
steps from the most important sites in Rome. It is the meeting
point of all the public transports of Rome. The new structure of
the Rome's Termini Station was inaugurated on 1950, replacing the
old wood building of 1867. Termini Station is located nearby the
Baths of Diocletian ("thermae" in Latin) from which comes the name
"Termini". Termini train Station is a few steps far from the most
important monuments of Rome and it is one of the most significant
buildings of the modern Rome situated on the Esquilino hill.
Termini is one of the largest train stations in Europe with almost
800 trains per day and 150 millions voyagers per year and daily
picks of 400.000 passengers. The structure has been renewed in
2000, the Jubilee's year, and has now a larger visibility thanks to
his shopping center, with shops and restaurants that attract many
visitors and curios people
